BFC1651 Sheer Tulips

Not rated yet

These designs are based on Japanese Woodblocks. Woodblocks always have a sheer watercolor effect and that is why I did these Tulips with Sheer Fills.  Your fabric will show through, so be careful what colors you use on certain colors of fabric.  Good choices are cream, pale yellow or green, light tan, pale blue.  Pastels will work best.  But if you want to use a dark fabric, use bright, vivid colors for the embroidery.  You can also use these designs with materials like Angelina film or Embroidery Glitter.  See the picture before the free design to see one stitched with Angelina film.

    Love these tulips
    BFC1651 Sheer Tulips

You say they can be used with embroidery glitter. Is there an outline around each design so one can trim the excess away before actually stitching?

Thank you Joan. Yes, there are two complete basting outlines at the beginning of each design. You stitch one to indicate where to put the glitter, and the second holds it in place. If you aren't using the glitter, etc. you just skip those first two color stops.

    Thanks!
    Suz
