It is with great sadness I make this announcement.  I have to discontinue carrying thread.  A lot has gone into making it impossible for me to continue it.  I will continue to offer designs and embellishments. 
Because I want you to understand why I have to do this, here is the chronology that led to this decision.
1. Right before the Covid virus hit the world, I made a deposit on a large thread order.  The factory decided I would have to order 1000 cones of a color at a time.  I had been able to order 500 before this.  They allowed me some colors in 500 quantity, so I made the largest order I could.  The deposit is half the cost of the order. The other half is paid when it arrives in the nearest port. 
2.  My time frame was always 2-3 months after order the thread would be ready to be shipped to me.  Then another 1-2 months for it to arrive int he states.  Because of Covid, shipping was seriously delayed everywhere so it was many, many months before I received teh thread.  Because i had to borrow the money for the deposit, i had been paying high interest all this time.  I then had to borrow for the final deposit.  Another suprise.  The tariff on goods from China went from 9% to 35%.  My order, though made almsot a year before was charged 35%.  This extra amount was added to the final payment for the order. 
3. I still have the designs of course, but design sales went way down after Covid started.  Many people were afraid of what would happen, stitchers were spending all their time making masks, etc. I couldn't keep up with the high interest payments on my thread loans and had to borrow more just for regular bills.  This continued until I can no longer afford the payments on this debt.  
4.  I've tried to sell the thread at really closeout prices, but the word hasn't reached enough people. I have to sell the remainder of my huge inventory.
5.  You will find special thread bundles on the site.  For example, an all colors and neutral colors.  Please if anyone of you belong to stitching groups, could you please pass the word about our thread?  I would appreciate it so much.
