Animals (in this case a Rooster) can have wonderful and at times can have very comic expressions. This Rooster seems to be peeking through the window say "Yes I can see you". This design would be perfect in a kitchen setting as every kitchen could use a bit of lightheartedness.

You can really change the overall look of this picture with the fabric you use for the background. I chose a bright, light summer type sky. If you use a fabric with the blues and greens of tropical foliage, he will stand out more against the darker fabric.
This set is done a little differently than others I've done so PLEASE read the descriptions befow carefully so you can choose the correct option.

Every year I do a Large Eagle close to the 4th of July. In the past I have always done a portion of the Eagle or the Flag- this time I have done both in their entirety.

Every year I do a Large Eagle close to the 4th of July. This time I have done something a little bit different and will be a good one to try if you have yet to do a Large design. It is easy to stitch and sparse-yet retains all the drama. Please note the areas of black are fabric- black thread is not used in the is design.

Wildlife from Australia, is wild, exciting, exotic and very beautiful. I plan to also do a set of Flowers and a set of animals. Each Bird in this set also has a design with it's name that you can use with the design or by itself.
These designs have the look of watercolor paintings. The backgrounds are sheer colors and feathers of the birds often blend together.

In addition to quilts, these designs would be lovely as table mats or runners. For a more dramatic effect use your favorite bright colors! You can also stitch and frame them and then group them on a wall.
I've included templates that I used to make the picture. These designs are fun to put together because you can just decide where you want the middle of a design to go. Keep adding greenery until you're happy then add some birds. the picture I made is approx 9x10 and I used all medium size designs.

In size he is larger than a Snowy Egret and smaller than a great Blue Heron. He forages alone or at the edge of groups of mixed wading birds. He slowly stalks fish or pirouettes with sharp stops and turns with wings flapping and flies with head drawn in and feet trailing behind.
