For the past 3 years I have done a Large Eagle with the American Flag in commemoration of America's independence on the 4th of July. This year is no exception. This is slightly more of a horizontal presentation with the flag flowing in the back. With this set there are now a total of four in the collection. They are as follows: BFC1463, BFC1574, and BFC1662.
PLEASE NOTE: This design should be stitched on white or a light color or the stripes for the flag will not be the right color. Or you can stitch the entire design on white and applique it on a darker fabric.
FINISHED SIZES OF EMBROIDERY: Medium – 14 x 4.4 inches, Large – 16.7 x 5.2 inches, Jumbo –21.8 x 6.8 inches. COMMERCIAL SIZE (included with all purchases in DST) 14 x 4.4 inches.

The Intense stare of Freedom and Determination shown in the Eagle are symbols in this important year for the US. The Eagle will make a wonderful tribute to the United States framed as below. Designs will have alignment lines and full instructions will be included. A large Commercial design (10.9X8.7) will also be included in each of the sizes. Here are the dimensuons of the completed Eagle for each of the sizes

Seldom have I seen an Eagle done with such a determined and direct stare. He's definitely looking right at you! He makes a beautiful tribute to the United States framed as below. Or make a wall hanging - perhaps near your door to welcome visitors. Fred has included some lettering to help you decide.
A Commercial size (8.7” x 10.7”) of the entire Large Eagle will be included in all sets.

Because so many are making things for our troops, I thought a set like this would would make great quick projects or as accents with other patriotic designs. Quiltables can be used as quilt blocks, for quilting a large area or as accent designs. The outline stitches as a separate color so you can choose whether or not to use it.

A great way to show your patriotism for the 4th or year round! Instructions include an easy way to bind the edges and assemble the bag all in one (eliminate the *fuzzies*). It also has a lining with only three pieces of fabric - including all the pockets. The front of the bag could also be used as a picture or pillow. This set includes a 4x4 size also.
The small bag is 11.7" wide x 11.6" high x 3.9" deep, the medium bag (shown below) is 13.6" high x 15" wide x 4" deep and the large is 16.3" high x 18" x 4.8" deep.

These designs show the majesty and piercing eyes of the eagle. I think by looking at these portraits it is easy to see why they were chosen as the United States National bird. These designs are appropriate for wall hangings, quilts and of course clothing and totes.

I know many of you are making gifts this time of year for friends and family members in the military or serving our country in other ways. These designs would be great on shirts or other items to show them your support. The background designs are sheer and work great on T-shirts or similar items and can be stitched with or without the lettering. They also will make a dramatic wall hanging or bell pull to display proudly in your home in support of our great country. The phrases have been contributed by a local Massachusetts writer, John MacDonald.

This is the first in a series of Windows sets of different countries. I will be picking scenes that are representative of different countries. I
This set coordinates with our other Windows on the World design sets.I can see these designs as appropriate for a quilt or coverlet in addition to wall pictures. I got this idea from my Yahoo group and I thank them for all their great suggestions!

After Fred released his set, Eagles and Wolves, he got many requests for full bodied eagle. He presents them here in all their glory. Here in America the eagle holds a special place in our hearts and these designs can be used for anything from framed pictures to gracing the back of a favorite shirt or jacket.

I started this bowl for the Fourth of July, but showing our patriotism and support for our troops does not have to wait for a special day. The flag and eagle designs can be used for matching table settings. The bronze effect is achieved by using only two colors and though metallic thread would be nice, I used just regular embroidery thread in these samples.
