Make the Steampunker in your life great pillows, book covers or even a vest! These designs stitch very quickly and can be used by themselves as they are each complete - just skip the basting lines. Often we want a little something extra to make a project complete. Backgrounds are perfect! They stitch quickly, are very easy to put together and can add so much to designs. These are designed in 6 sections. You can use just the first 3 designs to stitch the sunset sky and add either water fabric or make hills of various shades of fabric. The two Black hills can be stitched or not. The sunset continues behind the hills, so they will be complete. Instead you could make fabric hills the size you want. Add palm trees for a tropical scene or a fishing or sailboat to totally change the location. Try the sky in shades of white and gray for a stormy look too!

Turn Ordinary fabric into something special!!!
Often we want a little something extra to make a project complete. Backgrounds are perfect! They stitch quickly, are very easy to put together and can add so much to designs. These are designed in 6 sections. If you need a larger background, you can repeat the designs. Or use just one or two of the designs for a small project.-ed bag. I’ve stitched the individual designs in various greens so you can get ideas. You can also stitch one or more of these designs to use as applique fabric for large appliques. Or cut pieces of appropriate backgrounds for areas of an Art Quilt. To give you some ideas, scroll down to the bottom of this page. I've listed related designs that would be perfect for this background.

If you have designs you want for a handbag, adding the background will make a really unique and finished bag. I’ve stitched the individual designs in various colors so you can get ideas. You can also stitch one or more of these designs to use as applique fabric for large appliques. Or cut pieces of appropriate backgrounds for areas of an Art Quilt. These leaves would also be lovely stitched as individual designs on clothing or linens.
