I've created this design as a tribute to my son, Fred. It reminds me of the essence of his soul - music and beauty. I'm going to find a small frame and hang it on my wall to remind me of the wonderful things in life including music and beauty.
In addition to framing, you could put this on a tote bag, a notebook, or a music portfolio.
It has a lot of stitches, but not that many colors except for the rose and I hope you will find it worth stitching! Suz

In addition to the normal things we might use musical designs for - like a music student - there are lots more fun ways! For example, stitch the G Clef with gold leaves all in white. Then stitch the name of a couple's favorite song underneath for a neat Wedding or Anniversary pillow. We all react to music - whether it's relaxation, joy, excitement, reverie or remembrance. Use the Staff and notes with a greeting or name of a favorite song - or the conductor with something like Congratulations for Taking Control to someone making a big life change decision!

Fred has been doing some cubist paintings and decided to create a design from one of them. In addition to a great picture in a modern setting, this would make a perfect tote bag for the musician to carry music to their lessons. Fred's original painting is below.
The medium set of designs will make a picture (without any borders added) 14.6" x 11.4 "; the large, 17.5"x13.8"; and the Jumbo, 23.4" x 18.3".

Masks are extremely popular. In photography they are becoming a very sought after subject. And they are also a big collector's item. Have fun with these masks using all kinds of colors and different threads!

This bag is based on Pablo Picasso's Le guitariste. The brown medium size bag represents the original colors in the painting, but the blue bag shows how different it can look with a change of palette. I include colors for both variations. The designs are stitched individually and seamed together - very easy! No lining up :) Because of the nature of the pattern, the seams barely show, if at all. The instructions include how to create all your pattern pieces based on your stitched bag front - no patterns to print. There are different pocket options in addition to the easy to do zippered pocket shown and instructions for making the gusset as narrow or wide as you want. For the blue bag shown I have not included the inner bag and just added a magnetic snap to close it.
Small (Note required hoop size below): 12 inches wide x 10.3 inches high, Medium: 15 inches wide x 12.9 inches high Large: 17.5 inches wide x 15.1 inches high
This handbag requires the use of the Series B inner bag which is NOT included with this bag.

Fred is a Classical Pianist and I think you can see his joy in and love of music in these designs. From the haunting stare of Beethoven to the whimsical *mad conductor* you or your music loving friends will enjoy items made with these designs. Why not place one or more on a tote bag for a young musician? Those of you that can read music I'm sure will recognize the sheet music behind the conductor :)

So many people love to read and these designs will make great presents for them - a tote to carry books back from the library, a wall hanging as shown below, a armchair tote to hold glasses and a magazine or two, book covers, a lap robe for curling up and reading that favorite book. They would also make a wonderful *shadow box* quilt designed to look like bookshelves. Even one design done with shadow box quilting would make a great framed picture for a den or reading room.
