  • QIH (quilt in the hoop) designs that have been created to  make many projects. I've used gold metallic thread to highlight all the outlines, but I suggest other options in the instructions.  Make placemats, table runners, pillows or even full size quilts with no further finishing other than zig zagging them together!  Full instructions included. The next to last image shows the back of the finished small quilt. (Because I was making the small quilt, i put more than one of some designs in the hoop. )

You will have lots of options with this set!  You can stitch them as true Quilt in the hoop so you just have to stitch them together when they are done or as regular blocks you seam together.  I chose Autumn colors because before we know it summer will be waning, but try them with bright sunny colors. I used plain fabric so you could see the quilting, but you couild use a print for these blocks for more variety.

  • These are very quick stitching Quilt Blocks.  I used Variegated thread for all of my samples, but they will look just as elegant with solid colors.   Each design has the basting stitches required to do a QIH - Quilt in the hoop design. The white blocks shows how they will look with white fabric, white thread and batting.   Instructions included.

  • You will find lots of uses for these designs!  Use them with new designs or your existing stitch outs.  I've included some possible layouts but I bet you can come up with a lot more! You will receive instructions to use these designs with either other embroidery designs or existing stitch outs and to assemble them into your projects. For example I used Fred's Tiger stitch outs to make the Table Mat and my Gazania that I had stitched out for the Hotplate mat. 28 designs each in 4 sizes - 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7.5 x 7.5 for a total of 112 designs.

  • Each section is stitched and finished in your hoop. When they are done you assemble them to make your tree. Then the fun part begins - embellishing your tree!!!!. I used sequins, beads, ribbon bows and hot fix crystals. Other than the hot fix crystals I used glue dots to attach all the embellishments - wow - that is fun! I couldn't believe how easy it is without any glue mess. You can make a smaller tree by eliminating the last or last two rows. You receive full instructions to make your tree.

  • This design is based on a Rose window from St. Nicholas’s Cathedral in Italy.  There are two versions of the designs. You will receive two versions of the designs. One version has all of the black stitched and the other is designed to be stitched on black fabric. The sample below was done without stitching the black.   In addition to a wall hanging, you can use these designs for pillows and some have recently suggested placing it under glass on a small table.

  • You can make lots of variations with these designs. Put the puppy in the middle of the holly, or the cat in the middle of the snowflakes. Or stitch the outer designs with fancy fabric and no designs. For example, use a Christmas plaid with the puppy to make a great boy's stocking! And they are all perfect for lots of Bling.

    The medium stocking is 8.5 inches x 15.75 inches, the large is 10 x 18.5 and the Jumbo is 11.8 x 21.8.

Our Snowflakes Funset coordinates with these designs and you can use them for the back of the stocking, or stitch the puppy or kitten without the outline and scatter snowflakes around them.

  • The tan background on these designs is your fabric showing through - we used a batik for an *ancient* look. We carried that theme through by making borders of Stonehenge fabrics. In addition to a wall hanging, you can use the center circle designs for a pillow or to make a dramatic handbag. You receive full instructions to do the designs as Quilt in the Hoop and a PDF that shows you the sequence of how to put the designs together.

  • Crazy quilt designs are so much fun because you can use all kinds of fabrics and colors. These bags offer loads of places to add pockets! You can put some on the back, on the inner bag, the inside of the outer bag and of course in the lining. You get full instructions, material requirements, patterns and fabric layouts. The instructions include different types of pockets you can add.
The designs have optional fabric appliqués. I used them for the burgundy bag, but just stitched the designs for the black bag without them.

The finished sizes are: Small - 11.5x8 inches, Large 15.6x11 inches and Medium 14x10 inches

  • A Rose Window is any Stained Glass window divided into segments around a circular center. The term is most often used for Gothic Architecture, but is also used more widely. This Rose Window is from the Presidential Palace in Peru.

Fred wanted me to tell everyone that he stitched and finished this Window himself! He had never used a sewing machine and he had to admit it wasn't hard at all when he was finished. His comment was *if I can do it, anyone can!*.

The design to the left of the Peruvian Rose Window in the image is BFC0501 Art Nouveau Stained Glass Peacock

  • A stained glass scene of a summer garden. It is stitched on black fabric to save stitching time. It would be interesting to experiment with other background colors - perhaps a pale sand or beige color to look like the garden soil. The borders can also be stitched on a color other than black. I think a bright batik with the garden colors would look like more stained glass. You will receive instructions to assemble your bell pull.

The medium set of designs will make a picture 17.6 inches high by 8 inches wide, the large picture will be 21 inches high by 9.6 inches wide and the jumbo will be 28 inches high by 12.8 inches wide.

For example, make the center Iris, but border it with a stippled border using a leaf patterned fabric. Using various fabrics, you can use this set to make an entire quilt. Or use them for smaller projects such as a pillow, table mat, or picture. You will receive instructions on how to make the Quilt in the Hoop designs and for two different methods of assembling the tiles. You can see a table mat using the stippled designs on Fred's Rose tile.

  • I stitched my sample (the medium size) on heavy white satin so it has an iridescence as the light changes. The second sample (using the 4x4 size) was done with the same thread but on the blue fabric used for the border. I also stitched just the 9 squares in the upper right. In addition to a picture, this Peacock would make a gorgeous center of a quilt. You could stitch him on water soluble stabilizer to keep the designs soft. QIH/Reg Stained Glass-Fantasy Phoenix is a companion design.

    Sizes: Small, (4x4) - 16 x 16, Medium 20 x 20, Large 24 x 24, Jumbo 30x30

This Peacock was created from the artwork of Fantasy Artist Ching Chou Kuik. The artwork of course remains the copyrighted property of Ching Chou Kuik. She gives permission to use these designs on items for sale as long as *image from Ching Chou Kuik and design from BFC* is given with the items. • A set for all of your Christmas projects!! These designs can be stitched as regular designs, as quilt blocks or as Quilt in the Hoop blocks. You will receive instructions to stitch each method. Use them as accent designs on linens and clothing, as a lap quilt as I used the Medium designs below using the quilt block method, or table mats and place mats as I did using the Small Quilt in the Hoop Method. My sample place mat uses just the *Christmas Tree* quilt blocks at the end of the set with various fabrics - quick and easy!

These designs are very appropriate for adding crystals and other *bling* embellishments. I've added some crystals to some of the samples to give you some ideas.

  • This window is based on Tiffany's *View of Oyster Bay*. I stitched my sample (the medium size) on heavy white satin so it has an iridescence as the light changes. You can use just about any fabric. You can stitch it on organza to use as a curtain. I did a sample on one layer of pink sparkle organza. Though it stitched OK, I would recommend using a layer of water soluble stabilizer along with a sheer fabric like organza.

The medium window is 18.5" x 20.5", the large is 22.3 "x24.5" and the jumbo is 26.0"x29.0".

  • *Rose Window* is often used for any circular window, but the name is specifically used for the windows in cathedrals of Gothic Architectural style with stone mullions and tracery. This set is taken from the Rose Window in the Strasbourg Cathedral in France. You receive two versions of the designs so you can stitch them as regular designs without batting or as Quilt in the Hoop designs with batting and backing fabric. Instructions are included for an easy method to join the sections without having any *fuzzies*. (note: the scalloped edge on my sample is braid trim, not part of the designs) You can also use just the center circle as shown below for great pillows.

The medium size window is 24 inches across, the large is 28.8 inches and the Jumbo is 36 inches.

This set can be used as a wall hanging as I've done or it would also make a very impressive center for a quilt.

You get full instructions to make the bag as shown or use your own favorite tote bag pattern. The back and sides, the outside pockets and the inside pockets are each made with only one piece of fabric to make this bag quick to put together. I used a layer of Christmas tulle or organza over my fabric to make the patches. It adds a lot of glitter and sparkle. I also added some crystals. You can dress this bag up as much as you want!

The small bag is 11.7" x 11.7", the medium bag is 14.5" x 14.5" (illustrated below) and the large is 17.4" x 17.4".

  • Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice that enhances life by receiving Qi by utilizing the Laws of Heaven and Earth. The designs represent first the Yin Yang – the balance of life. This is broken down into the 5 elements of Feng Shui. Each represents many aspects of life and each has their own colors. The last 12 designs are the inner months of the Chinese Astrology and represent the months in the Chinese order starting with February.
These designs can be used as regular designs or as bordered or Quilt in the Hoop designs. You receive full instructions how to use the variations of these designs.

  • Alpine Wildflowers have developed many adaptations that allow them to survive a very short growing season, winds and harsh climates. In addition to their small size, some have large, dark abundant leaves that increase photosynthesis, others keep their buds close to the ground until ready to open and others grow in large clumps getting protection from their neighbors.

This set and set BFC653 are designed to create blocks, borders and corners complete with batting and backing fabric in your hoop. You receive full instructions.

  •  I didn't make this stocking with Christmas designs (though I don't think anyone would miss it hanging from the fireplace) because i can see it also making a great wall decoration in a Victorian setting. You can see the actual designs by clicking on *Check Sizes* below.) The red stocking below is the full embroidered version. For the pink one, I used just the back designs and added purchased embellishments. You can decorate it as much or as little as you wish. The white lace for the laces is a piece of freestanding lace you get with the designs. The name tag on the red stocking comes with the Merry Christmas and the back is plain for you to add the person's name if desired. The medium size stockings (shown below) are 14.25 inches from the top to the bottom of the heel and the large would be a little less than 17 inches.

  • I called this a Floral Kit because you can combine these designs in many ways. In the picture shown I used one of the wreaths and a small accent design on the Black T-shirt. For the small tone on tone block (any of the designs are appropriate for tone on tone) I used the wreath and part of the quilting design. And for the lap quilt I used the wreaths and the full Quilt in the Hoop designs. The quilt is made completely from designs in this set and using the medium size designs measures about 30 inches by 37 inches. The third picture shows the back of this same quilt. It also shows how using just the quilt in the hoop designs alone can make a very nice quilt! All designs are centered so you can just stitch one on top of the other without having to worry about aligning them. You receive full instructions how to use the variations of these designs.

  • You can give a great keepsake to new parents with a Baby's First Christmas stocking. You receive interchangeable designs to make either a girl stocking or a boy stocking and can also choose whether to have a puppy or a kitten. Or, use some of both the boys and girls! The wording is done in three color stops so you can use all or part of it and can also add your own lettering. Perhaps you could make this as a second Christmas stocking, or just put the child's name. I embellished the girl's stocking with crystals. some options instead of the lace trim would be large rickrack or even something like small ball fringe.

  • You have lots of options in making your Christmas boot! This set comes with two kinds of heels - a cowboy high heel with spurs or a regular heel. You can add a sole or not. You can use the plain back designs to make your own stocking using designs or even a patchwork with all kinds of fabrics. These designs are stitched with batting and backing completely in the hoop and just zig zagged together. You will receive full instructions with pictures. The finished stocking, without the loop, is 14 inches tall in the small size, 18 inches tall in the medium size and a whopping 21 inches tall in the large size. I have stitched the medium and small size shown. (Please note the small size has slightly different shape pieces on the lower part of the boot so I could make sure it would stitch on all 4x4 machines. You can see the actual designs by clicking on *Check Sizes* below.)

  • A true Victorian style stocking in three sizes. The back of the stocking can also be used to make a stocking on it's own. I added purchased lace medallions to the one shown. You can also interchange the plain large squares for one of the front squares and add your own designs or text. You will find you can make a lot of different stockings with this set. I used a plain pale gold silk for the sections, but you could also use many different fabrics and colors. I inserted a small gold lace trim in between the front and back while zigzagging them together. These designs are stitched with batting and backing completely in the hoop and just zig zagged together. You will receive full instructions. The finished stocking, without the loop, is 12.6 inches tall in the small size, 16 inches tall in the medium size and 18.8 inches tall in the large size.

  • I plan to have many different stockings for you to stitch for Christmas and since I have heard many of you have already started Holiday stitching I figured I better get started! The sections for Santa getting caught in the act are done completely in the hoop and then the sections are zig zagged together. You can add a plain back or make a patchwork one as I have done here. You can even use the plain sections to add your own designs, so you can make many stockings from this one set. You get full instructions with your designs. These are perfect also to add embellishment - beads, crystals, maybe a bit of fur around the top. This set comes in Medium and Large but I will be having stockings for the 4x4 hoop also. The finished stocking, without the loop, is 14.5 inches tall in the medium size and 17.4 inches tall in the large size.

  • These designs are taken from a Victorian catalog (now copyright free) of Tile designs. However, the patterns go back to a Byzantine era carpet. The tiles were designed to repeat the center section and have the scrolled border go around the outer edge - perfect for a quilt! Or you can create large squares as I did below and stitch these together directly or with sashing between them. Experiment with different colored fabrics and you will see a whole new design appear. The tiles were originally done in gold, black and burgundy. I can see a coverlet stitched on black and burgundy fabric with gold metallic thread.
You get two versions - one you can stitch as regular designs on fabric (my blue and white sample) and then stitch the squares together as you like and also a *Quilt in the Hoop version* (the yellow and blue sample) which creates completed, quilted squares to zig zag together.

The blocks as shown below will be 15.5x15.5 for the small size, 19.5x19.5 for the medium size and 23x23 for the large size.

  • This is the fourth set in the Victorian Lady Series. This set is created from more romantic Victorian designs than the first set of Victorian Quilt in the Hoop designs. The designs from both sets can be combined for larger projects. They can be used as frames for your Victorian ladies or to create a quilt using the ladies as the main focal points. The designs have two colors to allow you to add backing and backing fabric. The screen shots give some examples of how they can be combined. I have started to use these designs with my Victorian ladies and will post photos when I have a little more completed.

NOTE: This set has a Jumbo size designed specifically for the 8x8 inch hoop.

You get full instructions on completing the designs and stitching them together. I've also included directions for the wall hanging below. • I've decided I like this style of quilting! These designs can be used to make all kinds of quilted projects: place mats, table mats and runners, lap robes, full size quilts, quilted boxes - the possibilities are endless. There are fully embroidered squares, some with just outline and embroidery and others that can be stitched on a sandwich of fabric and batting in one color without stabilizer to create quick border or sashing sections. Or use them alone with fancy fabric for a quick place mat. You get full instructions on how to complete the squares. All designs with their quilting and batting are completed in the hoop. The screen shot below the photos of my table mat give you an idea of how they could be used in a large quilt and also how they might look in different colors. I used water soluble stabilizer for stitching my embroidered squares so the finished project after washing is nice and soft. .
