Our Great Blue Heron is a real lesson in mixing thread colors!  I eliminated some of the detail in the original painting so it will stitch well.  I stitched mine on a heavy light grayish blue cotton.  Some of the stitching is sheer and you can control how bright you want your background by choosing different fabric colors. For example, a bright yellow would add a lot of color to the setting sun! 

The inidividual Heron could be made into a picture or put him on the back of a denim jacket.

AFRICAN SUNSET comes in two versions.  One has a Mother and Daughter walking toward the sunset - perhaps after school or going to the market.  The second version is the same scene but without the people.  I had some customers mention they would love to have the scene so they could populate it themselves.  One mentioned a group of animals and another a big elephant.  You will get both versions when you purchase.

This is the latest version of these designs.  I know many of you like to make your own arrangements for your designs and might have one with some components from our two Seagull Beachscapes! Since these come in 3 sizes, you can also use different sizes to add more interest to a design or landscape.

The stitching is sheer to make for quicker designs.  You can place a layer of white crystal Organza over your white cotton to give a bit of a shine. 

PS: the whole picture shown is a composite from my  software, I wasn't able to get them stitched together in time.
