Embellishments

If you want to add a little spice to an embroidery project, beads are a wonderful way to do this!  But...you seldom want more than a few of each type of bead, so it means having to buy packages of all different kinds of beads, some you will never use again.  This is the first of our Bead Kits.  I've chosen colors that go together and beads that go well together.  But instead of getting a whole package of each kind you get a few beads of many different kinds.  Use them for scrap booking, card making, embellishing on embroidery or just  a pretty small motif on a blouse.  They can all be glued on -  - but all but a few have wholes for sewing them on.  I use E6000 to glue beads.

The clocks are paper and can't be used on fabric.  But I thought they were so appropriate I've included them!  They would be great in card making - just glue them onto card stock.

I didn't embellish many of my steampunk designs because it is only recently appropriate beads and embellishments are available.  This design would be great with lots of embellishment in her hair!

To give you an idea of sizes, the large clock  is 2.5 - 3 inches, the long coral sticks are1.5 inches, buttons range from .5 - 1 inch The gears and keys range from .25 to 1 inch/ 100 - 200 total pieces.

To give you an idea of sizes, the large peacock is 2.5 inches, the long light green leaves are 2.25 inches long, the white flowers and the dark green leaves are both 1 inch across.

A few years ago our Christmas charms were very popular.  I've managed to find them again and offer them in this kit along with other Holiday embellishments.

There are 11-12 metal charms, .5 - ,75 inches, 4 Mother of Pearl Chrsitmas trees, 1.5 inches tall, 3 glitter holly leaves 1.5 inches, very sparkly small crystal .25 - .4 inches, varous pearls in red green and white, a bag of gold flower sequins that can be used with beads or pearls as centers .5 inches. 

Approx. 100 pieces.

  1 Yd Of Fire Polished Crystal Prisms.  They are joined with Brass Pins.  There is a pin in the last Cyrstal so it can be joined to another one yard length.  These are used for Chandeliers, but they also make beautfiul valances - Embroider a top valance and place these along the bottom edge.  You can add a drop crystal to the ends.  Pieces of them could also be put around a Victorian Lampshade.  They come apart easily, but once fastened stay together extremely well.  There are also wonderful for Christmas Decorations!  The antigued gold clips in between each crystal are little bow ties - very pretty. .
