Often pictured smiling, the friendly quokka has earned itself the online reputation for being ‘the world’s happiest animal’. Quokkas are found mainly in the south west region of Western Australia. The quokka, also known as the short-tailed scrub wallaby is a small macro-pod about the size of a domestic cat. Like other marsupials in the macro-pod family, the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal.
We hope to have more Quokkas in the future!

MEDIUM LARGE JUMBO -
This set coordinates with BFC675 Windows on the World - Australia and BFC676 Australian Window Designs. I created it initially to be able to stitch the names of the flowers and the states and territories that come from on the back of my Window set. But they can also be used in a quilt using the other two sets. You will get three sizes: Small, which are 3.5 inch squares, Medium, which are 4 inch squares and Large which are 5 inch squares. I have made these a little smaller than the Window squares so the back plate will fit nicely on the back of the window. All the designs stitch an outline first in a different color so you can choose to use it or not. I used the outlines to create the sample below as guides to stitch the squares together. Without the outline, you can place the designs as you wish.
PLEASE NOTE: I have learned that there are two spellings for Waratah and of course I used the least common. :) I have added an additional square with the most used spelling.

Kay, from Australia, and I came up with this layout for the Australian Window. As with so many countries, Australia has such variety to choose from! So we thought we would pick a few things everyone would recognize - from the original Aborigines, to the great architecture of the Opera house to the beautiful exotic National and State flowers.
This window coordinates with two other sets: BFC676 Australian Window Designs and BFC677 Australian Backplate. BFC676 has all the elements of this window as separate designs. BFC677 is a set of explanatory lettering you can use to create a back for your window. Or all three sets can be used in a quilt. The window set can be the centerpiece, and the individual designs and lettering can be used for the surrounding blocks.
The small window is 12x16, the medium is 15x20 and the large is 18x24. You receive full instructions on various ways of putting your window together.
