I've had a lot of requests for more Art Deco Ladies (especially those walking). These are so much fun to do! They will add a lot of fun to your projects too. Ou Black and Red Lady makes the perfect companion design to our Black and Gold Art Deco Lady.

While watching this stitch, I was thinking it is perfect to do as a vintage sepia drawing. Just use a lighter brown for gray, and a dark brown for black. My Mom who loved to draw of ten did sepia drawings, she also colored photographs to look like sepia paintings. I was always fascinated how just a little color added so much!
PLEASE NOTE: A customer wrote to me and suggested that I add color stops so she could make the hair, flowers, etc any color she like. I decided to do it and include it with the original girl at no additional cost. For those of you that have purchased and would like the design with colors, just email me on the contact form with your order number and I will send them to you. :)

This could be just about any large city. It seems it is telling a story - maybe of thwarted love, or a proud walk of self confidence. This goes well with our Art Deco Blue Lady - put this on the back and the Lady on the front of a tote. Change colors by picking shades of one color to replace the blues.

Art Deco never looses it's appeal. I love it's combination of people and animals with decorative elements. Our lady would look great on a handbag or tote. Or stitch her at the hem of a long black skirt to wear with a matching color blouse. You can easily change her colors by changing all the blue shades to the color to shades of the color of your choice. I think Reds or Golds would look great!

I think the main reason our Princess is an enigma is the expression on her face. She looks like there is much going on in her mind. A friend, when seeing her said; she makes me feel like she has a story to tell, but will not do so readily. I can see her displayed with our Myth and Mystery.
I've illustrated how she looks with some crystals added. You could use hot fix crystals or use glue on as I did in my sample.

I first did the Tao Dragon in 2008. This was way before large hoops became wide spread. A customer asked whether I could make this into a commercial size (instead of the 8 designs that needed to be aligned in the original version). I gave it a try and I'm so pleased with the result I'm making the Tao Dragon available as a commercial size.

Sally was asked to do an Egyptian Shoe for a Customer. The hieroglyphics on the heel originally spelled the Customers name, but we changed it to Sally King - the initials at the bottom are SK. The writing along the front says 2021. Sally has named this shoe Egyptian Goddess.

Hot Air Balloons conjure up visions of warm sunny days with bright balloons floating through the sky or magical, mystical places sending off balloons out into the world. You will get 6 different balloons and 6 background designs. The first four images show some possible arrangements. (I include templates for these) and then the actual stitchouts of all 12 designs.
I can see two great possibilities for these designs. One is to create blocks with arrangements in each. Then combine them with coordinating fabrics for a quilt. Or, create a one piece quilt top with many arrangements - this could be combined with fabric applique for different sections - grass, mountains, etc. And of course, they would make great accent designs for clothing or home decor items.
