  • These carriages are just what we need in this super fast age we now live in. They remind us of slower and quieter times. What better designs to make a quilt to relax and snuggle in?

  • Combine these designs with full color trains for a great quilt. Or stitch one on a shirt or jacket for the train enthusiast.

  • William B. Butler started with the RF&P Railroad in 1940 and retired in 1974. He has generously allowed me to digitize some of the photos he took and collected during those years. The Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad started in 1824 and ran until the CSX took it over in 1974. When the RF&P switched to diesels in the early 1950's, William was the third man on the RF&P to make the switch from steam to diesel. His daughter, Anne Phillips, has been great at helping me develop this set. William is counting on her to embroider these trains on his shirts :) You can see *Pop* Butler down below - doesn't he look like an authentic railroad man?
