THE SEAGULLS consists of 5 design sets. They are based on two large pictures as illustrated below. This is the latest version of these designs.  I know many of you like to make your own arrangements for your designs and might have one with some components from our two Seagull Beachscapes! Since these come in 3 sizes, you can also use different sizes to add more interest to a design or landscape.

Based on a design by Tiffany this Cockatoo will bring a summer glow to wherever it's hung. You can also stitch just the top two rows for a small picture. I have also seen this design presented with just the two lower rows. You can stitch these as regular designs or as Quilt in the Hoop. Full instructions are included. This is Fred's first set using our new BFC Thread. He was really pleased with the colors and the shading he could achieve. A great gift for the man in your life or horse-loving friends.

Mermaids have probably been one of our favorite fantasy characters. They remind us of romance and the mystery of the sea. This lovely lady will make a beautiful picture or pillow. Add shells or beads or maybe scatter tiny crystals on her hair, the coral or throughout the water.

 A beautiful Oriental panel for that place where you need a small wall hanging. For those of you that have wanted to try a window type panel, this is a great place to start since it only has four squares! The individual designs could be used on a pillow that will be near the panel.

The medium size is 4.9" wide by 19.5" high. The large size is 5.9" wide by 23.6" high and the jumbo size is 7.9" wide by 31.4" high.

You can make either just the inner panels with the cockatoos for a picture or wall hanging, or you can include the borders. The borders can also be used for other projects. This set coordinates with BFC1041 Art Nouveau Cockatoos Plus . You could use this set as the centerpiece for a quilt and the Art Nouveau Cockatoos Plus for the blocks. You will receive full instructions to do this set both as Quilt in the Hoop designs and as regular designs.

The Desert Rose is found in the tropical regions of Africa and Arabia. It is often grown as a houseplant in other regions. The colors range from pure white to hot pink and all combinations in between. They are known as a great plant for those *who kill all others* as they are hardy and require little care. Older specimens can sell for over $1,000!

This nativity glows with light. I have shown it done two ways. The top shows using brown iron on bias tape over the seams and a fabric sashing. You also receive a satin stitch border you can use with the designs. You stitch it after the design is finished and then zig zag the sections together. The second sample shows the sections just seamed together and framed. Done this way, the sections look like hand painted ceramic tiles.

A warm, cheery scene for Holiday decorating. I added gold braid on the seams and a few hot fix crystals. You could also use black iron on bias tape for the seams and a black sash to recreate looking through a window at night. I think this would be perfect for a welcoming picture or bell pull near your door to welcome quests.

I stitched my sample (the medium size) on heavy white satin so it has an iridescence as the light changes. The second sample (using the 4x4 size) was done with the same thread but on the blue fabric used for the border. I also stitched just the 9 squares in the upper right. In addition to a picture, this Peacock would make a gorgeous center of a quilt. You could stitch him on water soluble stabilizer to keep the designs soft. QIH/Reg Stained Glass-Fantasy Phoenix is a companion design.

This Peacock was created from the artwork of Fantasy Artist Ching Chou Kuik. The artwork of course remains the copyrighted property of Ching Chou Kuik. This set is based on one of Tiffany's stained glass peacocks. You can stitch the entire picture, or use just the middle sections to make make various size pictures or pillows. You receive full instructions on how to stitch the designs and put them together without dealing with the *fuzzies* from trimming the squares.

Please check these sizes before purchasing as this set makes large pictures! The sample below was done with the medium size designs. It fits very well between two large windows.

Aphonse Mucha's gorgeous women have been reproduced in many mediums - paintings, prints, tile and stained glass. Fred captures a little of all these in his rendition of *Summer*. Summer was originally painted by Mucha in 1896.

The modernization of China took many different avenues. One was the wearing of British dress. Though industrialization lagged behind many other countries, it was slowly being emulated even in the traditional crafts like sewing.

Though I have made a screen from the designs, they are also appropriate for pictures - framed or made as a quilted wall hanging, or for quilts. You can add more lattice designs to make larger panels for either the screen or quilt. Stitch the lattice designs on patterned fabric and have even more options!

The screen below is made entirely from things in our sewing rooms except maybe the hinges. No wood or framing involved! You will receive instructions to make your own screen. I have used the medium size designs and my screen panels are 24" high x 12.5" wide. NOTE: The jumbo designs are sized for the 8x8 hoop.

Carry the brilliant colors of summer and fall all through the year with this picture. I think it would also make a very dramatic tote or hand bag. You can easily change colors by choosing shades of another color - like purples and lavenders - and substituting them for the pinks and reds.

 This is the second in our series and captures the dramatic colors the sun can create in the West. These windows can be used as pictures, or as I plan, a quilt.
You can add bias tape on the seams to make this a *real window*. I've also included a basting stitch at the beginning of each design if you want to stitch them on one piece of fabric.

Large rotary waterwheels appeared in Europe and China about the same time - 200 B.C. They have fueled production ever since and are still used in many places. Though this cottage is set in England, this picture could represent many different places.
