Message from Lynn - "I was asked to make a “simple” quilt with Catholic school uniform clothing. I chose the Orange Peel pattern from Chantell's Creations because I wanted to have a feminine finished product. Fabric prep was timely as they all frayed, so I stabilized all pieces with fusible stabilizer prior to embroidering. Consideration of fabric type and directional fabric choice should be taken. I decreased the speed to 600 for the satin stitch. Overall, there were no issues while stitching. I love the fact that one can see either circles or petals. The scallop border made the quilt feminine, and I had not realized until it was almost finished, a gradient effect. Not planned, but I was very happy of that outcome. I have another quilt planned using the Orange Peel pattern again. Any pattern from Chantell's Creations sews out perfectly. I have used many and have never had any issues." |
