Good afternoon Ms. Suz., I have really fallen in love with Sally King's Nordic Christmas..
My question is.... does the background showing the depth of the snow designs and the ripples behind and at the bottom of of the boot, come with the design? I'm thinking they
would have to be done before the main picture.. Hope you are doing well and have a continued great year...Absolutely love your kitties..I have on my desk top the two laying in the sun sleeping without a care in the world..sooooo nice. Hugs, Betty Morgan formally from Pawtucket, R. I. Betty MorganOct 15, 2018, 01:54 PMHI Betty - great to hear from you! I did the quilting lines free motion after the picture was finished. I just kind of followed the sweep of the snow that is embroidered. It doesn't have to be exact at all . For the lines in the sky area I just kind of *squiggled* (a very technical quilting term :). Not really stippling, but similar. I have found that even the most simple of quilting lines can be very effective!
I'm glad you like the kitties. There is just something I love about cats I can't get enough of them! Mine are starting to find their cooler weather sleeping spots. One of them has decided it's time to sleep with Mom every night. I wake up with 18 pounds of cat on my legs. Soon the other one will join him and then there will be 36 pounds. LOL Not good when you wake up and need to get up in a hurry! LOL LOL
Take care,
Suz
