BFC1905 Ethnic Tribal Lion

Not rated yet

Many cultures, especially the ancient Celts, have used tribal designs to denote religious following, clan designation and the like. The designs have deep meaning - the tribal lion  could signify a person's loyalty, honor, courage or family crest.  You can stitch this design in two ways - putting 3 sections together or stitching the Commercial size as one design.

Hi Ann - you can always see the stitch cout by clicking on Check Sizes on the design set page. It gives inches and metric, plus number of colors, number of stitches, etc.
    Thanks!

If I want to embroider the Tribal Lion in the single version what size hoop would I need to use. I do not have a commercial machine but have the Destiny II would that be an appropriate machine to use? Also is this design made with only 9 colors as shown on your website

Hi Judith, First, yes, there are only 9 colors in the lion.
You need to be able to stitch a 9.3 x 9.3 inch design. When I looked up your machine it said the largest hoop is 9.5 x 14 inches. So it seems it should fit. All machine stitch a little different in their hoops - some have a big allowance and some very little. If you have a dealer close by and want to be sure I would ask them the largest design you can stitch.
    Thanks - Suz

I am interested in your tribal lion and tiger designs but I am not familiar with how to join the different pieces of design the design together. Is there a special marking that lines up the pieces or is the design done in one hooping.

Hi Judith - I have a free tutorial that even comes with designs so you can try the method and learn how it works. I't super easy! Go to the home page and scroll down on the left and click on Free Tutorials, the tutorials again, and you will see it. It has p;ink and lavender flowers.
    Thanks -

the thread list for this seems to be missing a lot of colors. Why were just some of the colors listed? Are they colors that there is not a comparison color of a different thread brand?

Hi Elaine - this is embarasing!! Especially considering how many times I type our colors. I mis-typed several of the colors and my report doesn't print them if they are a real color. I've corrected the thread list and it's on the page now - you can download the new one.
    Thanks! Suz

What does complete mean in the size choice?

Hi Elaine - it means you will recieve al the sizes that particular design comes in. For example if a design comes in Medium, Large and Jumbo, you would gert all of these if you bought the complete.
    Thank you - Suz
