Silk Tie Grab Bags
The first three pictures are 1 Grab Bag. You receive at least 20 pieces ranging from 12x12 inches to 8x8 inches. There may be smaller pieces but they aren't counted, I just added some when I came across them. There are a few bags that have a piece almost a half yard. I have no idea which bags they are in, but someone will get a nice surprise. If there is a pretty piece that is smaller, I will add extra. I believe most of these are all Silk, but there also might be some polyester in some. I haven't checked but I have come across very few duplicate fabrics so each bag will be unique.
The 4th picture is what I made with these ties using hand embroidery. I wasn't yet into machine embroidery totally! I just wanted to give you an idea of how pretty they can look. The same idea would work for machine embroidery. Some of Chantell's quilt blocks might work and use small designs to decorate them. Then use beads, crystals, pearls, bits of lace, etc to embellish them. Because you wouldn't want to wash them often, you could frame a block or two as a great picture. I've made one similar to the one you see in the picture for the top of my small table in the hall. I shake it our regularly to keep it clean.
I can see why Crazy Quilting was so popular for so many years - it not only uses small leftovers but it is SO MUCH FUN!
