Sometimes we want something really special for a gift. These designs are perfect! They can be put on anything from clothing to towels to everything in between. They stitch quickly considering all the detail. The design shown on the towel has alignment lines if you would like to stitch a wide border. I've included a screenshot of how it would look. There are 8 smaller designs that you can use to create your own arrangement or as they are in small places. Since our color charts print actual size, you can print them and cut them out to try different placements. Good for Mother's Day gifts!

We used Stonehenge fabrics by Northcott to give this art quilt a textured look. You can totally change the style by using brighter fabrics. Use the templates and fabric patterns provided to make the quilt like our sample or design your own! You can use the outline designs to add fancy quilting. Or stitch them in darker colors to add more detail to the quilt. Full instructions included.
The Jumbo size is 25 x 31 inches, the large is 19.2 x 24 inches and the medium is 16 x 20 inches.(measurements without sashing)

He has even supplied outline PDFs that show what colors to use and where to put them. (or as he says have fun and experiment!) The Desert Rose is found in the tropical regions of Africa and Arabia. It is often grown as a houseplant in other regions. The colors range from pure white to hot pink and all combinations in between. They are known as a great plant for those *who kill all others* as they are hardy and require little care. Older specimens can sell for over $1,000!

These designs are perfect to experiment with different colors and threads. For example, stitch the background in a pearlescent metallic thread. Or stitch one of the outlines in gold. Add these to a floral quilt and match your colors to the fabrics in the quilt.

Fred based this picture on one of his paintings. It is stitched on black fabric to minimize stitching time! You also receive satin stitch borders you can use to give a more stained glass look - you just trim and satin stitch the designs together. See Flowers by a Window - a companion set.

Hellebores - or Christmas Roses - are steeped in legend. A child, Madelon, had no gift to bring the Christ Child. An Angel seeing her tears smote the ground and Christmas Roses appeared. Madelon brought a Rose as her gift, thereby giving her heart and her tears. These hardy flowers sometimes retain their petals for months.

Use for pillows, pictures, a wall hanging, or in a quilt. This Lily and Pansy can be combined with our other Tile sets, QIH - Camellia Tile , QIH - Rose Tile and Iris in the Round x 2 by using the borders from those sets. To make these pictures, I stitched the circles and then fused them to pieces of batik fabric with fusible applique web. I then satin stitched around the edges and framed the pictures. Quilt blocks could also be made this way. The medium size will make a circle 9.7" in diameter, the large 11.6" and the Jumbo 15.6".

Use for pillows, a wall hanging, or in a quilt. These Iris can be combined with our two Tile sets, QIH - Camellia Tile and QIH - Rose Tile by using the borders from those sets. To make the pillows, I stitched the Iris and then fused them to pieces of fairy frost with fusible applique web. I then satin stitched around the edges and finished the pillows. The medium size will make a circle 9.7" in diameter, the large 11.6" and the Jumbo 15.6".

Summer flowers in front of a stained glass window can add cheer to any room of the house. This is an interesting window because most of the black areas are actually the fabric and are not stitched. The combination adds depth to the picture.

These roses look so real in person you want to touch them to feel the petal softness. They would be appropriate for quilts or any quilted project. You can also put them on bags and clothing. I can picture a black purse or blouse with a single rose that has a crystal placed on a petal to look like dew. You could make a linen set with roses in the corners of the table cloth and rose buds on the napkins.

These vibrant roses can be set against any color background to blend with your decor. I've always found roses very difficult to do realistically, but these look like you can smell their fragrance. They look even more alive in person!

These ferns are done in Fred's *Fantasy Style* and would mix well with sets like Oriental Reflections on Black, Oriental Reflections on Black II, or Fred's Flowers. They would also make nice accent designs on clothing. The characters in the first design mean strength. You will receive these designs in two sizes - for the 5x7 and 6x10 hoops.

Beautiful Orchids in two versions. One has a background to make it look like a window - though no seams, it is all stitched on one piece of fabric; and another without the background to use on anything from a pillow as shown to the back of a black silk jacket. You get full instructions on how to line up the designs.
The finished sizes are: Medium Window 12.3 x 7.8 inches, Large Window 14.7 x 9.4 inches, Medium Orchids without Window 11.2 x 7.5 inches and Large Orchids without Window 13.4 x 8.9 inches.The samples below are made with the Medium size designs.

A set of beautiful realistic flowers that seem to just pop off the fabric. These are great for quilts as shown, perfect for spring handbags and totes, as an accent on a blouse or jacket or on linens of all kinds. Rick has confiscated our sample to use as a shade in his office! The sun is blinding in the afternoon, so he's going to mount magnets and can put the shade up whenever he needs it. I thought that was a great idea! It will be easy to put up and remove and no ugly hardware showing when it's not displayed.

These beautiful, wistful flowers can be done in colors to match any project. They go well with Fred's other Fantasy sets: Oriental Reflections on Black, Oriental Reflections on Black II, and Oriental Fantasy Ladies. I think they would also look great on totes and purses. They lend themselves very well to a scattering of crystals.

Three separate fall pictures to use individually or as one complete collage. The black is the fabric background so you can create a totally different mood with different colored backgrounds. An interesting picture might be using three shades of blue - from a bright sunny day blue to a gray fall day blue. Since the borders stitch last, you can also use the designs without the borders for linens, clothing and handbags.

Bird of Paradise flowers are intriguing, especially if you don't live in the more tropical climates and only see them in bouquets! Their brilliant colors and spiked shapes blend well with tropical, oriental or art nouveau themes. The first four designs can be used to create a picture, the front of a tote bag or the center piece of a table mat. You could also combine these four squares with the other designs stitched on black fabric to make a large wall hanging or centerpiece. The Strelitzia reginae is the species we are most used to seeing with its vibrant orange flowers. A lessor known variety of Strelitzia reginae is Mandela's Gold and has blue and yellow flowers as shown below in the last design.
I combined one of the flowers with a tropical fabric to create a fun purse to show how versatile these designs can be.
The medium size picture, shown below is 10x10 inches and the large would be 12x12 inches without borders.

Leaves to sprinkle everywhere! You could use the leaves without the border scattered on a Thanksgiving or autumn table cloth and make matching placements using the bordered leaves. Or add a touch of autumn to blouses, sweaters, jackets, totes or linens. The leaves in this set coordinate with the set Window - Autumn Fantasy . If you make the picture, you could make a matching pillow with several individual leaves.

Sometimes less is more. With just a hint of color you can concentrate on the artistry of these designs. They would also be attractive with metallic thread for one or more of the colors. Perhaps using a soft silver instead of white or one of the shades of gray. Or use metallic thread for the accent color. These designs can be used on handbags and totes - you could add your own embellishment. Or stitch them on the end of a scarf, towels or linens.

If you've never seen a whole field of sunflowers it's a breathtaking site. Even a single flower can make us smile and feel like the sun is out. These designs can be used individually or combined to make large embroideries. For example, using the medium size the blue vase below measures 9 x 18 inches making a great jacket back or framed picture. You can create your own Van Gogh!

My Yahoo group has been compiling a list of designs for me to do. Since I will have to live to be 112 at least to finish the list, Fred thought he would choose a collection of the flowers and render them as designs in his very creative style. Shown you will find Plumeria, Crocus, Honeysuckle, Fuchsias, Lily of the Valley, Bird of Paradise, Passion Flower, Orchid, Magnolia and Pussy Willows along with one of Freds fantasy flowers.

You will see familiar designs below but they have all been reworked. Shadows are elegant, sheer, fast stitching designs using the color blending technique so many of you liked in the Lace Bowl - Autumn Leaves. The are perfect for metallic accents as the designs are not dense. These designs would be great for quick gifts or items for sale where you want impact but not a lot of stitching time! They come in three sizes, 4x4, 5x7 and 6X10. Each design is sized to take full advantage of the hoop size.
