Hi Suzanne - I use a fabric adhesive like Aleene's Fabric Fusion. It doesn't get real stiff when it dries and i've even experimented putting it in the washer and dryer. Spray glues would be difficult to get int he right place and hot glue to me isn't permanent enough. Thanks for asking - Suz
