These appear to be solid fill. Is that correct?
I don't see a stitch count.
I am considering overlaying a Blessed Virgin picture or some other religious design over this and 'remove hidden stitches' in my software. I'd like your opinion on how well that will work.
Have you tried this on organza? Am wondering if it would allow a bit of light through it so it could be a panel in a door/window curtain. Possibly have a similar to stained glass effect/appearance.
Sorry if this message annoying; am just hashing out ideas in my head and wanting your opinion. Thank you.Apr 5, 2019, 01:05 PMHello Diane,
Not annoying at all - I love to help with projects! Some are full fill and some are very sheer. You can see the exact stitch counts by clicking on check sizes. The best for your project would be the gray and pink design - it is almost all sheer stitching except the sashing strips.
I haven't done these designs on organza, but i have done some similar. I used two layers and the light did come through. It will come through a lot with that pink one. (the red and black would be the best next choice).
The remove stitches works great in my software - i haven't tried one of our designs done in my software with another software. You would have to test that.
An option if the remove stitches doesn't work is to stitch the main design on organza - depending on how dense the stitching is, up to 4 layers. Then use fusible web on the back - the kind that has the paper backing. Trim the design with sharp scissors and then zig zag on top of the squares using an invisible thread. I have a customer that has done a lot of our large designs like this.
Don't hesitate to write if you have more questions!
