BFC1698 Large Black and White Elephant
Many times you find that a subtle design in black and white can be more dramatic than a lot of colors. I would love this Elephant on the back of a jacket or a pillow in the appropriate room. He looks like he's walking out from the shadows. Full instructions to stitch your Elephant included plus you get a commercial size in DST zipped in with each of the formats.

Bonjour , je brode l'éléphant sur du simili très épais avec un stabilisateur lourd et avec la densité de la broderie cela se déforme .
Quelle solution puis-je apporter pour que cela ne se déforme pas ?
Merci d'avance,
MichèleJun 29, 2025, 06:04 AMHello Michelle - I'm sorry you're having problems! I've sure it is because of too many stitches on a very heavy imitation leather. It wasn't digitized for such a material. What are you using for stabilizer? I would recommend a sticky stabilizer - this would help keep it from warping. But I can't guarantee it.
Is it possible to stitch the design on a lighter weight fabric and then stitch that to the leather? It could be a strip so that some of the fabric shows or use some applique web. You stitch the design on some fabric that doesn't ravel much and is a similar color. When you are done, you iron one side of the web to the back of the elephant. Then with sharp scissors you cut out the design. Remove the backing from the applique web and press it to your leather fabric. I've used this often and it works well. You can then stitch around the outer edge of the design if you wish in a matching color thread and a straight stitch.

Where do I find the thread colors used for each of the 7 designs. I have the colors to use but I don't know ithe order for eack section..
Jul 6, 2022, 11:15 AMHi Wilma, You need to download the colorchart.zip file that came with your designs. It has the individual color charts and any patterns or instructions. You can find this zip file on your delivery email or in your account.
Thanks!

I stitched out the design on black linen with 3 sheets of heavy cutaway. It is so beautiful but so dense (especially in the head area) that it buckled. I am going to restitch it and am wondering if you would recommend adding more heavy stablizer or change to a sturdier fabric? Thank you so much
Jun 29, 2020, 09:33 AMHi Michelle,This actually might be a cased of too much stabilizer. Thee is just so much room in the fabric and stabilizer for the thread. We used a cotton quilting fabric and two layers of medium tear away. Is it possible to send me a picture? I could etter make suggestions seeing what is happening. You can send to my regular email - suz@BFC-Creations.com.
Thanks!

Is the finished size of the picture limited to the size of your hoop. Can you do the largest size finished picture in a 5x7 hoop. Thank you.
Nov 9, 2017, 09:07 AMHi Suzan, Your hoop size determines the finished size. You can see the dimensions on the page. Just look at the medium size - that is the one you can do.
Thank you - Suz
