Art Quilt - Undersea Fantasy
Many of us admire the highly creative Art Quilts but are inhibited by all the techniques needed - free motion quilting and thread painting, pieced backgrounds and embellishments. This Art Quilt is different - you only need to know how to machine embroider! In this first set you receive full instructions to create the fabric background and designs to do the quilting. You also will receive 6 designs to get started on adding the characters. All designs in these three sets use a *thread painting* technique. They are done with various types of running stitches so they look like free motion thread painting and are quick to stitch. Some add a little fabric applique. You can purchase all three packs, or add your own designs to the background. With Design Pack 2 you will receive a tutorial on how to embellish your quilt. It also has designs to stitch on tulle if desired so you can have some three dimensional additions to your quilt. This set includes Packs 1, 2 and 3.
Finished Size: 20 inches wide x 28 inches high.

Does this design, as shown on your website, have any extra embellishment other than different types of threads, i.e. Angelina fibers, etc.Apr 4, 2017, 03:13 PM
Hi Carol, I also used small shells along the bottom along with some gem stones. i added a few beads here and there too. I also used some regular fibers - not Angelina fibers. The embellishments are shown well in the instructions, but of course they are optional and can be anything you like! That is the fun of art quilts. Thank you - Suz
