Lady In Waiting is the last set in the Victorian Lady series. A Lady in Waiting is a personal assistant to a Queen, princess or other Noblewoman. She is often of nobility herself and is never considered a servant. In the United Kingdom there is a more restrictive definition and Lady in Waiting is never used for someone serving the Queen, only the other members of the Royal Family. The lady serving the Queen is Lady (or Woman) of the Bedchamber and the head Lady in Waiting is Mistress of the Robes. This Lady in Waiting is carrying a jeweled crown atop a blue and gold brocade pillow. She is dressed in lime and pink so there will be a lot of color in this picture when it is complete. You will receive an Ideas file that tells you several ways to construct your picture. Among them is using a satin stitch border to complete the design squares. These will be included with all the Victorian Lady sets so if you wish you can make a complete quilt in the hoop.
The small set of designs will make a picture (without any borders added) 12"x16", the medium will be 15"x20" and the large, 17.5"x23".
