BFC0658 Stained Glass- Orcas

Not rated yet

Orcas are the largest member of the oceanic dolphin family, Delphinidae. They are also the most widely distributed mammal next to humans. Though they usually prefer cold waters, they can be found in tropical waters also. They have even been found venturing into fresh water! One went 110 miles up the Columbia River to eat fish! Imagine seeing that while you're out fishing. Orcas are extremely intelligent and said to have culture as they use dialects and learned behavior is passed between generations. Many say this culture is rivaled only by humans.

This set is put together differently than our other Windows sets - no visible seams! You can see that some sections of the designs have an outline that follows the black leading so when you stitch them together, the seam doesn't show. These designs can also be stitched on organza for a true *Stained Glass Window*.

The medium size shown below is 18" x 9.7" (designs only - not including fabric borders and the large size is 21.2" x 11.4". You receive full instructions for creating your Stained Glass project. This is a great beginner project as it is easier to put together than our more traditional window sets, but makes a very impressive finished piece. You will find pictures and links below to our other two companion sets.

Is organza the same as tulle?

no - oranza is a solid fabric, though very sheer so it is almost transparent. Tulle is like a very fine netting - they are oftgen used for the same types of projects.

on Mar 3, 2009 I ordered design 658 Stained Glass Orcas. I would like to restitch this design but am unable to access it on my new laptop. I ordered it under email clairehenslowe@shaw.ca which is no longer my address. Is it possible to resend the design to me at clairehenslowe@gmail.com Thank you.

HI Claire - Have you looked at the Ordered Files in your new account on the new website? It has links to all the designs you've purchased before the new site. But I don't see the Orcas. I checked the old website database and it wasn't there either. The Dolphins are there on your account. Could you have used a different name to order them? On March 3, 2009 your order was for Geisha Portraits. I checked under both emails. Let me know anything else you might have. Thank you - Suz
