These flowers are even more beautiful in person. Because of all the angles of the thread they shimmer! They would be perfect for a quilt, for place mats, the front of a tote bag or mats and table runners.

Can these be done and used as stained glass to hang in a window?

Hello Rose, I haven't done this particular design this way, but here is how I have done others. I use two layers of organza - you can choose some with shimmer, or any color/s you want. The use water soluble stabilzer on top. Stitch the design and wash away the wss. another possiblity along with or instead of the organza is Angelina film. It adds a little sparkle and is a very firm product. I think it will be best to test a square to see which way works the best for you. Make sure if you use organza that you hoop it so that the grain is perfectly horizontal and veritcal. This will prevent it stretching while being stitched. Please don't hesitate to ask any other questions about this! Suz

Hi Carol - they should work OK, I've done this type with Angelina film and it worked great.
    Thanks!
