BFC0832 Crazy Glitzy Handbag
Though these look like quilt in the hoop designs, they aren't. They are stitched as regular designs with an outline showing where the seam line is. This eliminates the problems with satin stitch borders and the *fuzzies*. You can use all kinds of materials and colors to get completely different looks. I used real suede, leather, linen and denim. You can also add more pockets – even on the inside of the flap! You can add as many embellishments as you desire. The bag is designed to put trim over each seam, but you can also add beads, crystals, buttons, etc. to the designs themselves.
The small size is 10.4 inches high x 11.4 inches wide x 3 inches deep, the medium is 12.5 inches high x 14 inches wide x 4 inches deep, and the large is 14.5 inches high x 17 inches wide x 4 inches deep. NOTE: The large size designs also fit in a 5x7 hoop!

I am looking for tutorials for embroidering on leather. A friend is a leather worker and I have his scraps available to use. I am thinking about starting with leather cuffs and expanding if that goes well for a while.
Thank you for any advice you can give!
CarolDec 26, 2021, 08:39 AMHi Carol, I haven't sewn on leather myself - just suede. But I know there are some members on our facebook group that are fantastic at it! At least one I would call an expert . I'm sure if you post your question on the group you will get some good responses.
