 When I first saw artist Sally King's shoes I knew they would make fantastic designs! Sally is from the UK and has a wonderful sense of whimsy and creativity. I can see these shoes on handbags and totes, quilts (as my start of one shows), throws, pictures - anywhere you want to bring a smile. Try them with metallic threads and lots of bling! These designs come in 5x7, 6x10 and 8x8. The names of the months are separate designs.

A customer asked me if she could separate out a butterfly from one of Sally King's Calendar Shoes. That gave me the idea for this set! These designs will make great additions to projects made with the shoes and are also great small designs on other projects! There are 34 designs in all - 102 in the complete set! Sally King has provided the artwork for our Indian Girl Handbag. The original art work is done with pyrography! You can also use the Indian Girl for a great wall hanging. You get full instructions and patterns with an easy way to line up the designs. You can make the bag all in one color as the sample below or make the gussets and strap in a contrasting fabric. The instructions include options for a lot of pockets - even on the sides!

Green Men are sculptures, paintings or other renderings surrounded by or made from leaves. Though seen around the world, they are frequently seen as architectural features on
Churches dating back to the 11th century. They signify rebirth.
Sally King has created several delightful green men using pyrography and painting. You can see this one and the others on her web site. You can use these designs as I have as one large picture, or just choose some of the designs to make a smaller finished design. There are extra designs that can be used to expand the picture. I love Sally King's artwork! She has a very unique whimsical style and I always find more when I go back to look at one of her paintings. You will receive this set in two versions. One is as pictured and because I know some of you don't like the pointy fairy ears, you will also receive a version with leaves in place of her ear. This is a great set for crystals and other embellishments.
For those of you that purchase the complete set, you will also receive 5 different versions for large and commercial hoops!!! (Commercial format DST) There are two complete designs: 14.9" x 11.1" and 11" x 9.4" and two pairs of split designs: (max size) 13.4" x 10.1" and 9.9" x 9". Another set of Sally's Hats, Bags and Shoes. There are two more sets coming! Try them with metallic threads and lots of bling! These designs come in 5x7, 6x10 and 8x12.
I did the *Port Hole* Art Quilt shown to give you some ideas. I don't have instructions for this as i would do some things differently if I did it again. But please feel free to email me if you have questions about it. To give you an idea of sizes, I did the quilt with the medium designs and it measures 25 inches across.

Not quite a green man, but I fell in love with this lady when I saw her is Sally's Gallery with her Green Men. And she does fit the qualifications by having foliage and flowers sprouting from her hair. You will receive instructions for stitching her with a filled face as in the wall hanging below and also without the filled stitches so you can stitch her on a wood grain fabric.
This set has three properly sequenced commercial size designs - they are included in the Complete set.

Sally has started her new Calendar for 2013. When she completes the last six shoes, I will do another set. In this set you receive 6 shoes, 6 shoe names and all 12 of the names of the months. I love the colors and whimsical detail of Sally's Shoes!!!

Sally King did the artwork for this picture and her husband, Simon, wrote the poem. Because the poem is a separate design you can add your own lettering. I think this would make a wonderful Birth Announcement. Or instead of lettering, cut out the center of the picture, turn under the edges and use as frame for a favorite photo.
